Frequently Asked Questions
Training Approach
-
Generic programs can be a decent starting point, but they're not built around your body, schedule, or goals. A custom plan keeps you progressing safely and efficiently by focusing on your strengths, correcting imbalances, and adapting as you improve. No guesswork, no wasted time—just training that actually fits your life.
-
A movement assessment is a simple evaluation of how your body moves—mobility, stability, strength, and any imbalances you may have. It matters because it sets the foundation for training that's safe, effective, and tailored to you. When we know how you move, we can program smarter, reduce injury risk, and build strength more efficiently.
-
Cookie-cutter templates can only take you so far. I build every program from the ground up so it matches your goals, injury history, training experience, and even how much stress or sleep you're dealing with. Strength training is personal, and your plan should reflect that.
-
Your program evolves as you do. Typically, we update programming every 4-6 weeks based on your progress, but adjustments can happen anytime you need them. The goal is to keep you challenged, progressing, and working toward your specific goals without plateauing.
Coaching & Support
-
Good form isn't just about looking polished—it's what keeps you progressing and injury-free. Strength training is incredibly powerful when done correctly, but poor mechanics can stall your results or lead to setbacks. I coach technique closely so you can lift confidently, safely, and with purpose.
-
Yes. If something in your life changes—your schedule, equipment, recovery, or even how you're feeling—your program changes with you. All tweaks to your existing plan are included so your training always stays aligned with your goals and real-world circumstances.
-
You can submit videos of your lifts through the coaching platform, and I'll review them and provide detailed feedback—what's working well, what needs adjustment, and specific cues to improve your technique. This ensures you're executing movements safely and effectively, even when training on your own.
-
I aim to respond to all questions and form checks within 24 hours on weekdays. Your success depends on consistent support, so I prioritize staying responsive and accessible throughout your training journey.
Pricing & Commitment
-
I avoid big upfront fees so you can start training without a financial barrier. Your monthly coaching includes everything you need to see steady progress. There's a minimum commitment period so we have enough time to build real, lasting results—strength isn't built overnight—but the goal is always a long-term partnership that feels valuable from day one.
-
Everything you need: fully customized training programs, unlimited program adjustments, form checks and technique coaching, direct messaging support, progress tracking, and regular check-ins. No hidden costs, no surprise add-ons—just comprehensive coaching.
-
After the minimum commitment period, you have flexibility. If you need to pause for travel, injury recovery, or life circumstances, we can work that out. My goal is to support you long-term, which means being realistic about life's ups and downs.
-
Because coaching is a personalized service with significant time investment from day one, refunds aren't typically available. However, if there's a legitimate issue with the service provided, I'm committed to making it right. Open communication is always the first step.
Getting Started
-
That depends on your situation. I can work with whatever you have—full gym access, home setup with basic equipment, or even minimal gear. During our initial consultation, we'll discuss what's available to you, and I'll design your program accordingly.
-
Perfect. Beginners often see the fastest progress because everything is new stimulus for your body. I'll start you with fundamental movement patterns, teach proper technique from the ground up, and build a strong foundation before adding complexity or intensity.
-
Most people notice improvements in how they feel within 2-3 weeks—better energy, improved movement quality, increased confidence. Visible strength gains and physique changes typically emerge around the 6-8 week mark with consistent training. Real transformation takes months, but every session moves you forward.
-
We start with a detailed consultation to understand your goals, training history, lifestyle, and any limitations. Then you'll complete a movement assessment so I can see how your body moves. From there, I build your first program and walk you through how everything works. Within a week, you're training with a plan built specifically for you.
